About Me Technorati Profile I've spent 30 years in the financial services industry, in group life and health insurance, employer-sponsored retirement plans and trust services, and in the brokerage industry as both a regional sales director and financial consultant. What I've seen over that time is the persistent transfer of risk from corporations and government to individuals. The myth of the American Rugged Individual come true. I suspect the pendulum will start swinging back the other way some time in the future.
I'm a husband and dad -- married to the same wonderful woman for three decades -- with two children and a grandchild.
I've always held contrary views -- and mostly kept them to myself during all my years of corporate servitude -- so this site is an opportunity to say what I think; and I hope be able to build some relationships with others who think the same way. Specifically the purpose of this site is to help those investors -- with less than $100,000 -- who don't get much, if any, help from our financial services industry as it is presently structured. They don't because their account size is too small to pay for an advisor's time. Of course, the best financial advisors have much higher minimum account size requirements, frequently $1,000,000 and up. I can't give financial advice but I can educate individuals who are willing to spend just a little bit of time to take advantage of positive trends and get out of the way of negative ones. That's really all it takes.
